This top layer comes into direct contact with the skin, and its comfortable surface sanitary pads can be felt through touch. There are two main types available: a mesh surface and a cotton-soft surface sanitary pads.

The funnel-shaped perforations on the mesh surface offer better anti-reflux performance compared to straight barrel-shaped holes, making it more difficult for absorbed liquid to flow back. Nowadays, almost all products adopt this funnel-type perforated membrane. A key advantage of night-use sanitary pads is their high permeability, while ultra-thin sanitary napkins maintain a dry surface, helping to protect the skin from moisture.

The cotton-soft surface offers greater skin affinity compared to the mesh type, although it performs slightly worse in terms of penetration. However, when changed regularly, it not only ensures comfort but also helps minimize the risk of skin irritation.
